We want to hear about your experiences of menopause in the workplace. Join us for a supportive focus group at Nottingham Women’s Centre on Tuesday 28th Jan
Nottingham Women’s Centre wants to encourage workplaces to adopt menopause polices. To support this work we’re running a focus group to collect women’s experiences and ideas. The focus group will be a supportive and friendly environment to share experiences and learn from each other.
6pm – 8pm on Tuesday 28th January in Room 1. We will provide vegetarian soup, hot drinks and cake.
During the focus group our Representation and Policy officer will give some background information about menopause in the workplace and policies that have helped women work through the menopause, including Channel 4’s new Menopause Policy.

Why is this important?
- Wellbeing of Women survey (2016) reported that one in four women consider leaving their jobs because of menopausal symptoms.
- TUC survey (2017) found that 88 per cent of women workers who had experienced the menopause felt it had an effect on working life and around 6 in 10 had witness the issue being treated as a joke in the workplace.
