Meet the team: Katie

Hello I’m Katie.

I’ve been the Representation and Policy officer at the women’s centre for a year. My role consists of supporting and empowering women to get their voices heard by decision makers, researching the issues that are impacting women in Nottingham and writing policy briefing documents. I organise political trainings, events and sometimes demonstrations… I always want to meet and support women who are interested in campaigning and activism, so if that’s you please get in touch and we can arrange to go for coffee (my email is [email protected]).

I love working at the women’s centre because I’m passionate about my work and the women’s centre is full of lots of brilliant, hardworking women. Before I was working at the women’s centre, I was a campaigner and trainer working on race equality and women’s rights in Bristol and London.

Outside of work I enjoy taking my dog Alma on long walks, visiting micro-breweries and going to LGBTQ+ events.
