Women’s Voices: Online events for Hate Crime Awareness Week

As part of Hate Crime Awareness Week, we’re hosting two Women’s Voices online events in partnership with Nottingham Together. They are informal women only events that will take place via Zoom. We welcome women from all cultures, faiths, and backgrounds to build a better understanding of our narratives.

 

“Where are all the female asylum seekers? Are they really living in luxury in the UK?”

Saturday 10th October, 10am-11:30am

Throughout the session we’ll be discussing claims about asylum seekers and talking about the diversity of experiences in Nottingham and what brings us together.

“Is being isolated and prepared for the worst nothing new for migrant families during Covid?”

Saturday 17th October, 4pm-5:30pm

Throughout the session we’ll be speaking to migrants about their experiences during Covid and talking about the diversity of experiences in Nottingham and what brings us together.
